Bookkeeping services
I take the stress out of managing your numbers so you can get on with doing what you do best. I’ll make sure your accounts are balanced, accurate, meet all the current legislative requirements and are completed bang on time.
My bookkeeping services include:
Accounts Payable.
I’ll help you understand how much money is owed to others and make payments to your suppliers. Get to grips with your cash flow and always have sufficient funds to keep your suppliers happy and smiling.
Inventory.
I track what comes in and what goes out of the business. For some businesses I input this into the point-of-sale systems then we’ll do a physical count to reconcile the system. If we find discrepancies, I’ll turn Columbo PI and help you track down the missing stock.
Accounts Receivable.
I’ll let you know how much your customers owe you and manage the intake of money to your bank account, including following up on late payments to make sure you’ve always got sufficient funds.
BAS/IAS.
I’ll lodge your monthly or quarterly business compliance statements with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) to keep you up to date and compliant.
Payroll.
I do it all, from setting up new employees in the system to paying them on the correct day. I’ll make sure you’re compliant with any awards and check that contracts not covered by the awards are fair to you and the employee.
I process the pays which, depending on your business, can include lodging pay reports with the Australian Tax Office (ATO), processing pays online, sending payslips or paying Superannuation through a clearing house. All the fun stuff!
Support to run your business
Need a hand with the day-to-day running of your business? In addition to bookkeeping, I offer support services such as HR, general management, IT and good old-fashioned practical advice.
Forward planning
I can assess where your business is now, your cash flow, the structure of your business and your short- and long-term goals. Then I’ll set out a game plan to make sure you’re operating in a way that meets your goals while maintaining a successful business.
Operational detail
As well as bigger-picture thinking, I’m happy to dive into the operational side of things to get your processes and systems super slick. Need a new point-of-sale system? I’ll help you choose the right one and programme it. If you’re a restaurant, I’ll advise on the correct awards for your employees. I’ve even learned to change a keg!
Whether you’re starting from scratch or have been in business a while, I’ll smooth out your systems and fine-tune your operations.
I know. These aren’t the role of a traditional bookkeeping service, but then again, I’m not your average bookkeeper.
How it works
First up. When you work with me, you’re only working with me. I’m not with an Agency or part of a large team.
When you call, it’ll be me answering the phone. Even at 6.21pm on a Thursday night.
I can work remotely or come to see you in person, whichever suits you best.
Here’s how it goes:
1. We set up a phone call to get to know each other
2. I send you a letter of engagement defining our contract and the tasks you want me to work on
3. We get going
The ‘doing’ part will look different for every business.
We might have a monthly sales chat or be talking daily. It depends how much Chris you want in your business. Either way you get a quality, tailored service.
